Slipping out of Arizona

We drifted out of the shadow of the Superstition Mountains and started our trip through the home country of the Chirichua Apache. No sign of Geronimo or Cochise but we were ready just in case. There was a strong west wind helping our modern day Conestoga slip out under a cloudy sky. We actually were up around 10.5 MPG today so either the wind was helping or all that wax I have been putting on is working.

We stopped for the night in Las Cruces and Dennis and Denice joined us here for a run down to Mesilla for a little shopping and a lot of eating. Thanks for dinner folks. Tomorrow we are off for West Texas and miles and miles of nothing but miles and miles. Not the most exciting road in the world but it points in the right direction.
