OHHHHH, I thought we came home too early, I know now YOU guys really went home too early! Mike wants to know if you have a set of chains for that motorhome??? Guess Brenda isn't wearing flip flops now???
Dang, it looks chilly there! Good to see some snow still on the ground there. Mom in ND is watching the river rise with the Canadian snow melt. Need a little time for some of the local water to go down before any more is added to the river.
Gosh your gone...We miss you two and wish that we could have spent more time with you. It wont be long before Sherri is old enough to graduate from this working life style into that of retirement. Until then we will just have to continue to take our short trips and dream about the longer ones that will come...
May God give you gentle horses, And an even trail to ride, Pure waters, greener pastures, And a good friend by your side, May you always have protection, From the northern winds that blow, And may you find God’s Blessing wherever you may go.
I retired from a Canadian Oil company in 2007 and after a couple of summers consulting for them we decided it was time to see North America. In the summers we like to be back in Alberta with our grandchildren, horses and the mountains close by. Winters it would be nice to be somewhere a little warmer, luckily our home has wheels and getting somewhere warm is just a matter of pulling in the slides and lifting the jacks and heading out.
I am feeling cold just looking at those pictures.
ReplyDeleteYuck! So why did you go home so soon??? :)
ReplyDeleteOMG!! Thank you for making me happy, happy, happy to be stuck in Sacramento!!
ReplyDeleteGosh I sure hope it is nicer on Vancouver Island when we get back next weekend. Glad you got home safely, hopefully the snow will be gone soon.

Travel is not recommended on Highway 1 from Cochrane to Calgary, say RCMP.
Heavy snow and ice on Highway 1 east and westbound is making roads treacherous and nearly impassable.
Motorists are getting stuck on the stretch of road and highway maintenance companies have been advised.
Travels is also not recommended on Highway 1A between Cochrane and Calgary.

I'm not liking that white stuff. I think you're second guessing your idea to go home this early.
ReplyDeleteHow did the RV handle in the snow? I hope never to try it. ;c)
Yes, whose idea was this anyway? We drove through the hardest rain in six months to get home. Now the work starts.
